Join TheaterWorks Hartford and Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants (CIRI) for a conversation about sanctuary cities and the challenges and the opportunities these ‘safe’ cities present. (Hartford is a Sanctuary City.)

Moderated by Susan Schnitzer, President and CEO of CIRI, we’ll discuss the limitations and challenges that face those seeking safety as they work to obtain asylum, work authorization, family reunification and citizenship in the U.S. Susan will be joined by CIRI Senior DOJ Legal Caseworkers, Carmen Goiricelaya and Lizzeth Vibaldo. Tabitha Sookdeo (IRIS Community Engagement and a DREAMer) and Tanya Kimball(IRIS Hartford Office Director).
