TheaterWorks Hartford knows that your health and safety is your priority. We couldn’t agree more. We are committed to the health and safety of our patrons, staff, and guest artists. As much as we’d love to go right back to the way things were before, we want to get back there safely, and have been working hard to make it happen step by step.

Here is our plan to get back to live, in-person theater while keeping everyone safe:

Covid Safety

-Reduced contact
-Social distancing
-Masks
-Staff training
-Vaccinations
-Sanitization
-In following with the guidelines from the State of Connecticut and the City of Hartford, all are required to wear a mask indoors. If a patron does not have an acceptable mask, TheaterWorks will provide one.
-We are reducing the capacity of our theater to allow us to keep empty seats as buffers between households.
-Patrons must be fully vaccinated with an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine. Proof of vaccination, along with a valid photo ID, and a valid ticket for the performance will all be required at the time of entry.
-Patrons who need reasonable accomodations due to medical exemption may apply for exemption by calling at (860) 527-7838. Patrons with approved exemptions must provide a negative COVID antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance time.
-The 2019 TWH renovation project included a completely new state of the art HVAC system for the entire building. Exceeding all recommendations for indoor air quality. The System includes: 3 stage filtration, 80% fresh air intake ERV (energy recovery ventilator) and 100% air exchange 6x an hour.
-TheaterWorks is a fully vaccinated workplace committed to the health and safety of our workforce, artists, and guests.
-There will be no less than one Covid Safety Manager on site at every performance
-Our Facilities and Front of House teams sanitize our theater and lobby before and after each show, and ensure an abundance of sanitation products on-hand for patrons.
